Ancient Source
One universe.
Many traditions.
Each app in the Ancient Source series distills one great philosophical tradition into universal daily principles. No doctrine. No conversion. Just thought.
01
Lantern
Sufi Masters
For a thousand years, the Sufi masters poured their inner lives into verse. Rumi, Hafiz, Attar, Ibn al-Arabi, Kabir, Saadi — they wrote not for scholars, but for the person in pain. The person in longing. The person who cannot name what they have lost. Lantern brings nine of these sacred texts into a single, living conversation — searched in real time, shaped to where you are.

What we believe
Every great tradition encodes the same core insights — dressed in different metaphors.
Philosophy doesn't belong to any religion. Religion has always borrowed from philosophy.
Local-first. No accounts. No tracking. Wisdom should be accessible, not extractive.
The best ideas survive translation. If a principle only works inside its original culture, it's a custom, not a truth.
The system
Every Ancient Source app shares the same DNA: a solid ground, the distinct diamond mark, neo-brutalist typography, and a local-first architecture. Each tradition gets its own accent colour and its own name — drawn from within the tradition itself.
The vision
Six traditions. Six apps. One design system. The Ancient Source universe is built on the conviction that the world's great philosophical traditions — when stripped of cultural gatekeeping — converge on the same truths: think clearly, act justly, stay present, distribute wealth, and embrace difference.
Each app is local-first, privacy-respecting, and free to use. Patron support unlocks journal and advanced features — but the philosophy is never paywalled.
